EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Engineer and former NASA astronaut Danny Olivas joined Mike and Tricia on Second Cup, Friday morning, May 22.
The El Paso native told KTSM he was one of the 25 people selected to become an astronaut, out of a total of 5,000 people with PhDs or greater.
“I had an opportunity to fly on behalf of our country, and I’m so glad to get back,” Olivas said. “It’s a lifelong obligation.”
